Clarkson noted: “Behind all the racing paraphernalia and the Mercedes-Benz suede and silicone, this is a modern-day muscle car. You sense this when you drive it. It feels raw. At the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, Mercedes-AMG unveiled a new, even more powerful version of the GT, the GT R, with an output of 585PS and the ability to sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 3.6 seconds.
