NEWS - Pendle Powerfest is coming!

Pendle Powerfest is coming to Barrowford, East Lancashire this May Bank Holiday and we want YOU to be a part of it!

Now in its third year Pendle Powerfest is an all vehicle family show coming to Nelson & Colne College in Barrowford, East Lancashire on 24th May. The show is run by a group of dedicated volunteers raising money for the Barrowford Show Fund and Pendleside Hospice. The show will feature a wide range of vehicles, stalls, children's entertainment and more. Each year new features are added to ensure there's always something you haven't seen before! To make it a success help is needed from volunteers due to an unforeseen depletion of numbers.

The show needs people, sponsors and vehicles. Powerfest need as many people and businesses to get involved to make this year’s show the best yet. They are looking for people who can spare some time to help with the organising or would like to help out on the day. From businesses we need sponsorship to help fund the cost of the show. For vehicles we want anything large or small, old or new to demonstrate the wide range of vehicles the people of Pendle and beyond own and love. So get your pride and joy out of the garage and bring it along, or offer your services in running the event.

Show highlights already confirmed, with more to come, including:
  • Mike Newman – the six times Guinness World Record Holder. He is the fastest blind man on a motorbike, in car and on a boat. He recently became the first man to drive at over 200mph. He will be bringing his charity “Speed of Sight” who offers specially adapted track and off-road vehicles for disabled people to drive. He has recently been featured on Good Morning Britain.
  • The National Association of Bikers with a Disability will be attending with demonstrations of how disability doesn’t stop the enjoyment of a motorbike.
  • Classic Bus trips around the local area, kindly run by a member of the Burnley, Colne & Nelson Join Transport Society with proceeds donated to Pendleside Hospice.
  • A wide range of vehicles including a fully working Knight Rider KITT Pontiac Trans-Am, Two Manx Norton Motorbikes, Classic and Modern Supercars and lots more.
