JLR Experience - Jaguar F-Type V8S

Without a doubt the best looking car I have ever seen, the Jaguar F-Type is proving rather popular amongst petrolheads. The aggressive, shouty front end, all the way past the sleek door handles (which look straight from a James Bond film), right to the angular yet beautiful rear end. The whole shape is just fantastic, and the coupe looks even better still. But there's more to the F-Type than just looks, and not long after going out in the V6 and falling in love with it, we took the keys to the V8...

Surely it couldn't be worth the extra £20,000 or so over the V6? I mean sure, it's more powerful, but just how fast can you want to go anyway. I didn't understand why anyone would buy it. And then in the next half hour it changed my mind completely.

You see F-Types have a button showing a picture of an exhaust pipe. And pressing that opens up valves which make the loud pedal even louder. Sound engineers have spent a lot of time on the exhaust note of the F-types, and I can tell you first hand it's worked.

I had made my mind up within about 30 seconds that I'd pay the extra just to have that V8 soundtrack. The animalistic sound of happiness. It's addictive, and head-turning. And a quick youtube search will show you what I mean if you don't already.

I've set myself a goal in life to own an F-Type, and I'd love for it to be a V8. Now where's that lottery ticket...
