NEWS - Peugeot 208 Intuitive

The Peugeot 208 range is set to be expanded by the addition of a new special edition 'Intuitive' model. Based on the Allure (which I reviewed) it comes with even more as standard and is available as a petrol or a diesel. It will be available to order this month.

Some of these extras include the Cielo roof with ambient lighting; which is sure to inject even more style into the already stylish interior, satellite navigation as standard, and a Peugeot First...

That's right, the 208 Intuitive will be the first Peugeot to feature a parking assist feature to aid with parallel parking. Peugeot’s new Park Assist system provides active assistance with parking, detecting a parking space then controlling the steering to park in the space. It controls the steering while the driver manages the accelerator, brakes, gears and clutch. During the parking phases, the system provides visual and audible information to the driver in order to make the manoeuvre safe. The idea is brilliant as works well on other cars which feature it, so this could really make the 208 a perfect city car.

As well as this you get 16” alloy wheels, Directional front fog lights, Automatic Dual Zone Air conditioning and LED surround on the instrument dials. All in all the Intuitive will certainly be a stylish car, and if you're interested here is the pricing:

As you can see, all the diesel models are free road tax, with the 1.2VTi costing you a mere £20 for a year. The fuel economy is great too, meaning that style can also be great to live with day-to-day.

The award-winning new Peugeot 208 Supermini, which went on sale late June 2012, has now secured over 20,000 orders since order books opened. For Peugeot 2013 is set to be a year of growth, helped by the extension of the model range; with the new 208 GTi, 208 XY and 2008 due throughout the year.
