NEWS - DVLA release Olympic registrations

The DVLA, an official licensee of London 2012, has released a list of 1,750 registrations that will celebrate the Olympic Games being held here this year.

The registrations, a full list of which can be found here, will be auctioned at City Hall from 7-9 June.

With registrations like 2012 OG, GO11 DEN, WON 601D, DVLA Personalised Registrations has gone to great lengths to ensure motorists can show their support of the Olympics being held in our country.

The diverse array of registrations encompasses specific sports like BMX 1X, CYC 111E, D155 CUS and GYM 734M; there’s even MEN 100M and RUN 100M aimed at the games’ blue ribbon event. As of yet though there’s no indication hot favourite and the world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, will be bidding!

There are also a selection of registrations clearly targeting some of the nation’s favourite athletes including DA11 LEY for diver Tom Daley, FA12 RAH for long distance runner Mo Farah and 11 HOY for cyclist Sir Chris Hoy. Even London Mayor Boris Johnson has been accounted for with BOR 15X.

Jody Davies, DVLA Personalised Registrations’ Events Manager, said: “We are extremely proud at being appointed as an official licensee of the 2012 Olympics and we are celebrating the occasion in the best way possible, by staging a truly magnificent auction.

“We have picked some really fun Olympic themed registrations to suit all tastes and budgets.”
