The A1 Quatto is unique in featuring Quattro all-wheel-drive, and also has a 256PS 2.0-litre TFSI petrol engine. Whilst the styling is inspired by the rallying world, the A1 Quattro is by no means all show, no go. It will also feature an additional £11,000 worth of equipment upgrades, proving it has the performance underneath the suggestive exterior.
More than 600 components have been tweaked or upgraded to create the A1 Quattro; most importantly the engine. The engine is the same one featured in the TT-S, and delivers 256PS at 6,000rpm, and 350Nm of torque between 2,500 and 4,500rpm. This allows a 0-62mph time of 5.7 seconds and a top speed of 152mph. Combined fuel economy is quoted as 32.8mpg and, if achievable, will mean the Quattro won’t eat through your wallet.
The main feature on the inside is the multi-adjustable Silk Nappa leather-upholstered S sport seats with their pronounced bolsters, integrated head restraints, red stitching and quattro insignias. Eye-catching features also include white needles contrasting a red-faced rev counter and a flat-bottomed multi-function sports steering wheel with red stitching and an inset limited edition plaque.
