NEWS - Citroën DS5 meets Concorde

Citroën have released a series of photographs as a festive gift to us, depicting the new DS5 which will hit the showrooms in March 2012. The new pictures pay homage to the original Citroën DS; the DS5 poses underneath the wings of Concorde.

The pictures were taken at Le Bourget Airport, France by Laurent Nivalle, a photographer at Citroën Styling.

The DS5 comes with pilot-style overhead switches inspired by plane cockpits, a head-up display and a roof divided into three light wells, giving off an aviation vibe. Immaculate attention to detail and authentic premium materials also ensure an immediate impression of quality and refinement.

The DS5 has already received the accolade of ‘Family Car of the Year’ in the Top Gear Magazine 2011 awards, stands apart from its rivals with its intelligent design, aerodynamic body and advanced onboard technologies. As such, DS5 embodies the finest in French luxury and brings motorists a truly exceptional driving experience.

  1. Citroen seem to have really hit the spot with their current DS models.
I do wonder if their reliability is improved over previous ones though. It's quite an expensive risk to take which is why Ford/Vauxhall do so well I guess.

    Ah well!

  2. They certainly are good looking cars. I guess with them being so new it's hard to create a reputation for long-term reliability. Time will tell!
